Start with your care team’s guidance

Before choosing a rental period, ask your surgical team what to expect when you return home and whether they recommend any particular seating setup. Ask when they expect to review your progress and whether there are instructions for sitting, standing or resting that you should share when choosing a chair.

A rental package does not tell you how long your recovery will take. Follow the advice you receive from your own care team. The NHS guide to after-surgery care also recommends asking about the equipment and support you may need at home.

Plan around three dates

  1. Your preferred delivery date. Consider when you want the chair in place and who can be home to receive it.

  2. Your expected time at home. Use your current plans to compare the rental periods shown on each chair page.

  3. Your check-in date. Set yourself a reminder to contact us before the rental ends if you think your plans may change.
